What counts as a document

A document is a record of something a named person asserted.

Today the documents list holds certificates of serviceability. KitNDocs draws each certificate from your record.

A photo on an issue is not a document. It shows what somebody saw, but it asserts nothing by itself.

Where to find documents

Documents in the sidebar lists every document you hold.

The documents list on an equipment record shows documents for that equipment only.

Each row keeps the document type first and shows the certificate reference below it. The equipment logbook shows the same reference beside the certificate entry.

What this does not do

You cannot upload a file on the documents screen.

Attach paper to the work it proves. To attach a form to a completed task, use the logbook on the equipment record. See Attaching evidence to a completed task.
